HyperCoal is a clean coal with ash content <0.05 wt%. HyperCoal was prepared from a bituminous coal by solvent extraction method with an extraction yield of 66.7%. Effect of K2CO3 loading and temperature on steam gasification rate of HyperCoal and parent raw coal was investigated. Experiments were carried out at 775 and 700 °C for both HyperCoal and coal with 0-25% catalyst loading. Gasification rates increased with increased catalyst loading and reached a value above which rates did not change with catalyst loading. The catalyst loadings were 6% for HyperCoal and 20% for coal. The difference is most likely due to the difference in ash content of HyperCoal and coal and not due to the effect of H2 inhibition on the rate. In the presence of catalyst effect of temperature was only on gasification rate and total gas yield and gas composition were unaffected.  相似文献

We investigated the influence of testicular and adrenal androgens on the presence of gap junctions between folliculo‐stellate cells in the anterior pituitary glands of 60‐day‐old Wistar‐Imamichi strain male rats. The animals were separated into six groups: Group A served as the controls and had free access to a normal diet and water, Group B was given a normal diet and 0.9% NaCl for their drinking water as the controls of adrenalectomized groups, Group C was castrated, Group D was adrenalectomized, Group E was both castrated and adrenalectomized, and Group F was also both castrated and adrenalectomized. In addition, the animals of Group F were administered a dose of testosterone that is known to produce high physiological levels of the hormones in plasma. Five rats from each group were sacrificed 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 days after their respective operation, and the anterior pituitary glands were removed and prepared for observation by transmission electron microscopy. We quantified the number of follicles and gap junctions and calculated the rate of occurrence as the ratio of the number of gap junctions existing between folliculo‐stellate cells per intersected follicle profile. Simultaneous removal of adrenal glands with castration resulted in a significantly decrease in the number of gap junctions, whereas the administration of testosterone to these rats compensated for this change. These observations indicate that the preservation of gap junctions between folliculo‐stellate cells is mainly dependent on androgens from both the testes and adrenal glands in adult male rats. The present investigation was undertaken to see if a practical method could be developed for homogeneous tritylation of cellulose in a non-aqueous solvent of cellulose. Our new procedure of tritylation of cellulose can easily be carried out under homogeneous conditions by dissolving cellulose in a sulfur dioxide(SO2)-diethylamine (DEA)-dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) solvent system, one or the non-aqueous cellulose solvents, followed by addition of trityl chloride and pyridine. This new method can avoid the time consuming pretreatment for the decrystallization of cellulose which has been necessary in the traditional procedure and can lower the reaction temperature. IR spectra of the products indicated the formation of trityl cellulose. Measurements of dielectric properties of the products confirmed that trityl groups were selectively introduced at the primary hydroxyl groups in cellulose. This conclusion was also confirmed by a H-NMR study in which the tritylated products was first acetylated, detritylated and then trideuterioacetylated and H-NMR spectra were taken at each stage and examined comparatively.  相似文献

A novel chitosan (Ch)-based polyampholyte hydrogel was prepared from Ch dissolved in a 1:1 (v/v) mixture of 10% aqueous acetic acid and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP) by simple crosslinking using 1,2,3,4-butanetetracarboxylic dianhydride (BTCA). The detailed structure of the hydrogel was determined via FTIR and solid-state 13C NMR spectroscopic analyses. The swelling behavior of the hydrogels was strongly dependent on the BTCA feed ratio, and the hydrogels exhibited a pH-responsive swelling ratio that was influenced by the presence of both cationic NH3+ and anionic COO? groups within their molecular structures. The Ch hydrogels also exhibited bovine serum albumin (BSA) adsorption capacity, which was maximal at pH 4.5, consistent with the isoelectric point of BSA (4.7). In addition, the BSA adsorption capacity of the hydrogel decreased with the increasing ionic strength of the adsorption medium, indicating that the capacity of the hydrogel to adsorb BSA is facilitated by hydrophobic as well as electrostatic interactions between the hydrogels and the BSA molecules. In addition, a high desorption ratio (89%) of BSA was achieved in aqueous solutions at pH 2.0.  相似文献

Male Sprague-Dawley rats were fed a cholesterol-free (Exp. 1) or cholesterol-supplemented (Exp. 2) diet containing 20% casein (control group) or 15% defatted squid and 5% casein (defatted squid group), as protein, for 14 d. Serum and hepatic cholesterol concentrations were lower in rats fed defatted squid than in those fed casein in both cholesterol-free (−20%, P<0.05 and −15%, P<0.05, respectively) and cholesterol-supplemented (−25%, P<0.05 and −15%, P<0.05, respectively) diets. Hepatic triglyceride concentration was lower in the defatted squid than in the control groups in both cholesterol-free (−51%, P<0.05) and cholesterol-supplemented diets (−38%, P<0.01). The activities of cytosolic fatty acid synthase and the NADPH-generating enzymes, malic enzyme and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, in the liver were lower in the defatted squid than in the control groups in both cholesterol-free (−21%, P<0.01, −33%, P<0.05, and −33%, P<0.01, respectively) and cholesterol-supplemented diets (−34%, P<0.05, −57%, P<0.05, and −67%, P<0.05, respectively). The activity of mitochondrial carnitine palmitoyltransferase in the liver was comparable between the control and defatted squid groups. The activity of Mg2+-dependent phosphatidate phosphohydrolase in the liver cytosol was lower in the defatted squid (−9%, P<0.05) than in the control groups only in the cholesterol-free diet. Fecal excretion of total steroids was stimulated by the feeding of defatted squid in both cholesterol-free (+77%, P<0.005) and cholesterol-supplemented diets (+29%, P<0.01). These results suggest that the nonlipid fraction of squid exerts a hypocholesterolemic effect by increasing the excretion of total steroids in feces. The fraction also induces a triglyceride-lowering activity in the liver by decreasing hepatic lipogenesis.  相似文献

Computational Physics by Parallel Array Computer System (CP-PACS) is a massively parallel processor developed and in full operation at the Center for Computational Physics at the University of Tsukuba. It is an MIMD machine with a distributed memory, equipped with 2048 processing units and 128 GB of main memory. The theoretical peak performance of CP-PACS is 614.4 Gflops. CP-PACS achieved 368.2 Gflops with the Linpack benchmark in 1996, which at that time was the fastest Gflops rating in the world.CP-PACS has two remarkable features. Pseudo Vector Processing feature (PVP-SW) on each node processor, which can perform high speed vector processing on a single chip superscalar microprocessor; and a 3-dimensional Hyper-Crossbar (3-D HXB) Interconnection network, which provides high speed and flexible communication among node processors.In this article, we present the overview of CP-PACS, the architectural topics, some details of hardware and support software, and several performance results.  相似文献

Accurate prediction of interfacial drag in the downcomer annulus is crucial for the assessment of downcomer void fraction for the loss of coolant accident analysis. The downcomer annulus is the gap between reactor pressure vessel (RPV) exterior and the inner wall of pressure containment vessel (PCV). Based on the previous research, occurrence of the nonuniform two-phase flow in downcomer section is reported, which is partly due to the large wall temperature difference between RPV exterior and the inner wall of PCV. In RELAP5, interfacial drag term in downcomer section is calculated using Kataoka–Ishii and churn-turbulent drift–flux correlations. It has been pointed out that this traditional calculation approach for calculating downcomer void fraction needs modification. The purpose of the current study is to assess the behaviors of drift–flux parameters in downcomer section and to propose an improved distribution parameter model that is suitable for donwcomer boiling analysis.  相似文献

The thermal expansion behavior of cubic pollucite (CsAlSi2O6) in the temperature range 298 to 1473 K was investigated from the viewpoint of crystal structure, based on the model proposed in this study, with Rietveld analysis and high-temperature X-ray powder diffraction. Consequently, it has been found that the CsAlSi2O6 structure provides an enlargement-contraction mechanism for two kinds of rings, each composed of six (Si,Al)O4 tetrahedra in a three-dimensional aluminosilicate framework, in the temperature range 298 to 673 K.  相似文献
